HP Laptop Screen display color distorted

Hi,

So i have a HP-Compaq HP G60-645NR laptop.  The colors on the screen had recently went haywire...going from Blue to Red to Green to Red and now Yellow.  I was told to try and attach an external monitor to see if its the actuaal screen or motherboard.  The external screen shows fine so Im took it as the actual screen was bad.  I bought a new screen...connected it and restarted it and it was fine.  I turned it off and went to sleep.  I turn the laptop back on in the morning and got the same messed up screen as before.  What else could possibly be the problem?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
