Laptop won't turn on, no post image

Hi,

I have a problem with a Lenovo IdeaPad 300 17 "i7 laptop.When I press the power button I do not see any image on screen.The battery indicator is on no image is displayed (No. Lenovo picture) and after-20-30 seconds the power LED indicator turns off and so did the laptop.
After a Few pickings I do manage to get the laptop to power on and working and if I just close the lid and the laptop enters sleep when I'm shutting down my laptop (from Windows menu) and pressing the power button to start the laptop.  
Any help with this?

Please help.
